Unfortunately for all Tigers
and Indians fans, there will be no strike this year, which means
that SLPL continues, unimpeded. It also means that Stampeding
Bovines have another couple of weeks before they choke like the
Sacramento Kings.
For the record, though, Rube is pleased to announce the overwhelming
majority of SLPL team ownership groups thought, in the event
of strike, that the post-season money should be rolled over to
next year. The glaring exception was Stampeding Bovines, which
gives us all another excuse to gloat when the team drops out
of contention as suddenly as the LA Dodgers.
