IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Commissar Rube Furrow has announced he is taking disciplinary action against Stampeding Bovine's owner Homer Bedlow. Furrow has petitioned that all team ownership groups vote on whether Bedlow should be disbarred immediately from the league. This is not an action that Furrow takes lightly and it is unprecedented in league history. However, Furrow believes the action is warranted because Bedlow refuses to participate in the league in any meaningful way, yet he is leading the league and is less than two months away from being declared champion.Worst of all, league administrators are frustrated and, frankly, jealous that Bedlow's Stampeding Bovines appears to have come out of nowhere and could end up winning the whole shooting match. Rube believes that the best way of handling this dire situation is by eliminating Bedlow completely from this year's competition . . . Rube is asking all team ownership groups to log on to the SLPL Forum at http://www.santa-lechuga.com/ and cast their votes on whether to retain Bedlow.According to SLPL Bylaws that Rube just made up out of thin air, at least two-thirds of the team ownership groups must vote in the affirmative if the petition is successful. That means we need 32 team ownership groups to vote to eliminate Stampeding Bovines. Please cast your vote by responding "yea" or "nay" (and explain your vote) to the Forum entitled "Stamp Out Stampeding Bovines." The deadline for voting is Aug. 20, though Rube may decide to extend the deadline a few days if he's feeling cantankerous. Thanks you for your cooperation in helping Rube deal with this serious issue.
