In fact, this is how many days, hours, minutes, and seconds we have 'til the season begins:     Days : Hours : Minutes : Seconds So, start scanning your sports pages and sports websites for facts, figures, and news about your favorite players. Check out this year's Rules and Payouts. Actual dollars may vary. In the meantime, check out the picture below showing last year's winner, Homer Bedlow (aka Sam Livernois), owner of the Stampeding Bovines, accepting the 2002 Championship Cup from SLPL Commissioner Rube Furrow (aka Joe Livernois) at the bullring adjacent to Campo a Bota's Estadio de Guanajuato in León, Mexico. Congratulations again to Homer! Muchos gracias are in order to Chuy Chicle (Richard Livernois), owner of the Zapata's Zapatos, who hosted the SLPL top brass to a great time in León in January. The stadiums there are beautiful, the team owners are simply wonderful, and the food was phenomenal. The SLPL is very proud of the 2002 additions of those excellent teams from Mexico; we look forward to having them compete in 2003!
